Rattlesnake weekend

What a weekend!  I have been closer to a bunch of rattlesnakes that I ever wanted….and survived!

I drove down to Claxton on Friday and was met by Adam Kennedy and the Sheriff in down town.  I don’t know why, but when I go to a small South Georgia town, I am often met by the Sheriff.  [...]

Forum weekend and more

This one might be a long one so prepare yourself.

I have had one crazy week!  For both good and bad reasons.  As some of you may know, my dad’s mom has been living in GA for the past few years because she had Alzheimers.  We enjoyed having her down here and took her to everything from [...]

The real world is not near as much fun as pageantland

So I’ve been at my job now for 5 whole days……and I must say, however awesome it is, it is not as awesome as pageantland.

Here, heels are actually a detriment to your work day because you can’t run from the copier to the telephone that fast!

In Pageantland, the higher the heel, the closer to God.  [...]

Exciting news about my platform!

So it’s not totally offical yet, but by the end of this week it will be!

As most of you know (or should!) my platform is Breast Cancer Research and Awareness in Young Women.  Besides focusing on young women, I have also tried to focus on making the lives of women in my immediate community a [...]

Snowy February

Well it’s been another lovely week in the life of Miss Georgia.  I think I’m going to like this whole post-Miss America schedule they have me on!  Although I’m busy every weekend from now through April, my weekdays are much less hectic than before.  I get to work out just for the sheer pleasure of [...]

Snap back to reality, oh there goes gravity…

Well I dove back in to being Miss Georgia over the past few days.  After taking the first bit of this week off to sleep (and eat) I have really enjoyed my first two appearances post Miss America!

On Thursday I went to Metter, GA (near Savannah) and got to hang out with the girls of [...]

In conclusion….

Now that I’ve had a few days to process the incredible experience I just had, I feel like I can finally put some of my thoughts down into words.

First, I had such an amazing time.  It really was a whirlwind of appearances, rehearsals, and competitions, but it was so much fun!  I know I will [...]
